On Sunday June 21st, 2009 Sulaimaniyah Governor Dana Ahmed Majeed received (Vagif Garaive) Russian Consul in Kurdistan Region.

In a meeting Russian Consul in Kurdistan Region discussed strengthening the bilateral relations between Kurdistan Region, Sulaimaniyah Governorate and his country in all the fields, clarifying that Kurdistan Region traders pay a significant attention about commercial field with Russia, also appreciated the level of life and living in Kurdistan Region.

 In return Sulaimaniyah Governor asked Russian Consul in Kurdistan Region to work on strengthening bilateral relations in all Economical, Commercial, Cultural and Scientific fields and his Excellency reiterated on cooperation and facilities for the works and activities of Russian companies in Sulaimaniyah Governorate.
